Extract Specific Columns From a CSV
Keep only the fields needed for a report, import, handoff, or analysis without editing the original spreadsheet manually. Columns can be selected, deselected, and reordered before creating a separate output file.
How to Select and Reorder CSV Columns
- Choose or drop a .csv file into the upload area.
- Select the required columns and use the arrow controls to set their export order.
- Review the first 15 data rows, then download the complete extracted CSV.
CSV Parsing and Output Behavior
The parser supports quoted commas, escaped quotation marks, multiline values, blank cells, and duplicate or blank headings. The downloaded file includes every data row and only the selected columns. Your original file is never modified.
Limits and Privacy
CSV files are limited to 10 MB and may need to be saved as UTF-8 if the browser cannot read their encoding. Removing columns does not automatically anonymize sensitive values, so review the export before sharing it. Parsing, preview, and download generation happen locally without uploading the file.
